You do not have to answer questions about your immigration status.

You have the right to an attorney before responding.

Don’t sign papers without legal counsel.

Ask ICE to slide a warrant under the door before opening it.
If ICE or Law Enforcement Comes to Your Home:

You are not required to open the door without a valid judicial warrant.

Ask for ID and to see the warrant.

Valid warrants must have your correct name and address and a judge’s signature.
When Stopped in Public or in Your Car:

Provide only your name and driver’s documents if required.

Do not consent to a search.

State calmly: “I am exercising my right to remain silent and request a lawyer.”
